International Students:
International students in Canada can apply for an extension of their Study permit under the following conditions:
- Their original study permit was of lesser duration than their course.
- Their course extended beyond its actual duration
- They dropped a term due to any reason
- They started another course of study after completion of the first course
- Or any other reason
Foreign Workers in Canada:
Foreign workers in Canada can apply for an extension of their work permit in Canada under certain conditions.
Visitors in Canada:
Visitors in Canada are normally allowed to stay in Canada for upto 6 months. After that they can apply for an extension of their stay in Canada for another 6 months. There is no restriction on the number of extension applications however, the applicant need to justify the reason of stay in Canada.
Visitors can also apply for change of condition and apply for a Study permit or work permit from inside Canada.
