ATLANTIC IMMIGRATION PILOT

In view of high labour shortage in Atlantic provinces, the Government of Canada started a pilot project to help Employers in Atlantic provinces hire foreign skilled workers and international students in Atlantic Canada. The Program is valid upto December 2021.
There are three programs under which foreign nationals can apply;
- Atlantic International Graduate Program
- Atlantic High Skilled Program
- Atlantic Intermediate Skilled Program
- Have lived in Atlantic Canada for 16 months in two years before obtaining their diploma or degree from a DLI in Atlantic Canada.
- The education credential obtained was a two years degree or diploma
- Meet minimum language requirement- CLB 4 in English or French
- Have sufficient funds to support yourself and your family.
- No Work Experience required
- Job Offer: You must have a full time job offer for one year from a Designated Employer in Atlantic Canada at NOC level 0, A, B, or C.
The Atlantic High Skilled Program requires foreign nationals to show;
- One year experience in last three years at NOC level 0, A or B.
- Minimum high school diploma
- Meet minimum language requirement- CLB 4 in English or French
- Have sufficient funds to support yourself and your family
- Job Offer: You must have a full time job offer for one year from a Designated Employer in Atlantic Canada at NOC level 0, A, B,
The Intermediate skilled stream requires:
- One year experience in the last three years at NOC level C.
- Minimum high school diploma and / or Job specific training
- Meet minimum language requirement- CLB 4 in English or French
- Have sufficient funds to support yourself and your family
- Job Offer: You must have a full time job offer for one year from a Designated Employer in Atlantic Canada at NOC level C,
- Registered Nurses, Registered Psychiatric nurses and licensed practical nurses have job offers as nurse aides or home support workers .
PROCESS:
- Fulfil the eligibility requirements of one of the streams
- Apply for a job offer
- Compile full application for Permanent residence and submit.
- May submit a work permit application to start working before your PR is approved.
The Atlantic Immigration Pilot program has been very popular in recent years due to low requirements. However, securing a job offer from a designated employer is a crucial step.
HOW TO GET A JOB OFFER?:
Foreign nationals are strongly advised to visit Canada and visit the participating community. An in-person visit helps to meet employers and prove them your suitability for the job they have.

ASSESSMENT PROCESS BY FEDERAL IMMIGRATION DEPARTMENT (IRCC)
- ELIGIBILITY ASSESSMENT
As a first step applicants are assessed for their eligibility in the said class of immigration.
- ADMISSIBILITY ASSESSMENT
After completion of eligibility review, applicants and any accompanying family members are assessed for Admissibility as per the Canadian Immigration & Refugees Protection Act. The admissibility assessment process can take longer depending upon country of origin of the applicant, country of Application and several other factors. The seven factors that can make an applicant inadmissible from applying for Canadian Permanent Residence are:
- Security
- Human or International Rights Violation
- Serious Criminality
- Organized Criminality
- Health Issues
- Financial Reasons
- Misrepresentation

Next Steps:
- Eligible candidates are invited for a Zoom meeting with our consultant at which applicants get a chance to discuss their case at length.
- Applicants are sent our retainer agreement
- Upon receipt of signed retainer agreement and initial instalment of Professional fee, client file is opened at our end.
- Client is sent a link of our CRM in which client can track all his records, payment, upload documents, actions performed by our team and progress of client application.
- At Euro Immigration Consultants, we charge our professional fee in 2-3 instalments as per the task ahead.
