JOB EXPLORATION VISA
Foreign nationals who want to work in Canada or secure job offer in order to apply for Canadian Permanent Residence under one of Federal, Provincial or regional programs, may visit Canada on a visitor visa.
Canadian Employers are hesitant in hiring foreign nationals abroad until they are not inside Canada on a work permit or a visitor visa. A visitor visa lets you present yourself to a Canadian employer and enhance your chances of getting a job offer. With a job offer your chances of getting an invitation to apply for Permanent Residence are enhanced.
Job Exploratory visa is a Visitor visa or Temporary Resident Visa of Canada. It is valid for 10 years or up to the expiry of the applicant’s passport. On each visit, applicants can stay in Canada for up to six months after which they have to leave Canada or may apply for an extension of stay in Canada. There is no limit on number of extension of stay applications, however, the applicant needs to justify their reason of the extended stay in Canada.
At Canadian Port of Entry (airport, land, or sea) CBSA officer can curtail the length of stay of a visitor or even deny entry into Canada.
Do’s & Don’t’s:
- Can not work
- Can not study for more than 6 months
- May study a course less than 6 months
During your visit, if you are able to get a job offer either LMIA approved or approved from the respective Provincial government or regional authority, you can apply for work permit inside Canada.
